In this post I will be reviewing my Louis Vuitton NéoNoé replica bag which I had purchased during the summer, and never got around to reviewing until recently! I honestly didn’t need the bag since I had quite a few to get me through the summer so I decided to wait and indulge in it’s beauty during the fall.
The NéoNoé is one of Louis Vuitton’s more recent releases and I like how it is an updated, modernized, and sleeker version of the original Noé (I have a Noé BB in Damier Azur which I have previously reviewed on the blog here). You can get a sense of what the bag looks like one by referring to this pic of the ever beautiful Alessandra Ambrosio sporting it while out and about:
Hello all! This review of my new Louis Vuitton Damier Graphite Keepall 45 is the third review in a series reflecting my Summer ’17 replica haul. You can see my original post outlining all of my purchases by clicking here. Now this review is different in that I did not buy this bag to use myself but instead bought it for my brother.
After seeing my replica collection and how accurate pieces can be if a person knows how to properly shop for replicas, he requested the Keepall as a litmus test for how good men’s replicas can be. In the past I have purchased a men’s Louis Vuitton wallet in Damier Graphite for my hubby (about a year and a half ago) and the quality has held up pretty well thus far. My brother who I purchased the Keepall for, actually has an authentic bi-fold LV wallet in the monogram print and the two are indistinguishable in terms of quality, even though the models are different.
My brother picked the 45 cm size which is the smallest size available in the collection (the other sizes are 50 cm, 55 cm, and 60 cm). Although it is the smallest size in the collection the bag is still quite big and to be quite honest as soon as it arrived, I kind of fell in love, and am thinking of ordering a Monogram Keepall 45 for myself since it is perfect for weekend getaways, or any short overnight trips where luggage just isn’t necessary. I’ve always known that the Keepall is one of Louis Vuitton’s most iconic and classic pieces, but now I really understand how versatile the bag can be, and recommend it to everyone.
The LV Keepall replica came in packaged flat in the box which was actually really good in that it helped the bag keep its shape without damaging it during transit. One of my biggest worries when waiting for a package is always whether it will be damaged in transit – we all know how careless couriers usually are so if the sender does not take steps to mitigate damage in transit, whatever parcel you are receiving may turn out to be a lost cause. The bag is a counter quality replica like all the other replicas I buy (if you are new to the world of replicas and want to see the grading scale I have shopped with click here). Below you will find the details of my review which will focus on leather quality, hardware quality, stitching & interior of the bag.
One big misconception with Louis Vuitton, especially for first time buyers is that the authentic version of the Canvas series bags (Monogram Canvas, Damier Ebene, Damier Azur, Damier Grapite, Damier Cobalt) are 100% genuine leather. This is FALSE. The Canvas series bags are mainly made with what the title of the bag implies – canvas. Specifically they are made with coated canvas which is adjusted based on the specific print (e.g. Monogram vs. Damier Azur). What is supposed to be genuine leather on a Louis Vuitton bag is the trimming and detailing.
This means everything from the bag’s tags, handles, all the way to the strap should be genuine leather. The replica Keepall I ordered comes with genuine leather detailing and trimming since it is a counter quality replica. Many replica versions of this bag do not have genuine replica detailing and are usually made with plastic handles, straps etc. If you choose to go for a replica version of this bag make sure you confirm the handles, tags, and trimmings are made with real leather. If you already have a bag you can feel the difference between smooth cowhide and plastic, so you will know if you just feel it out.
The original version of this bag is made with silver brass pieces, and the replica version of the bag I received was made with the same materials. In terms of heaviness I find Louis Vuitton’s hardware to be neither extremely heavy, nor super flimsy, but it is more on the lighter side compared to other brands like Gucci or Chanel.
INTERIOR OF THE BAG:
The authentic version of the Keepall has a cotton lined interior, and the replica version I purchased is also lined with cotton in the interior. Since the interior is not leather in this case, I don’t have much to say, except that if you are purchasing a replica version of this bag make sure the interior lining color is black to match the original.
This is an important aspect to pay attention to when it comes to any replica as it is what usually helps us decipher the mediocre from the great. I always make sure the stitching is clean and consistent throughout the bag, and the Keepall gets a strong pass in this case.
The bag came with a lock and key set, which is super heavy compared to the rest of of the hardware, and is on par with the original. The lock is embossed with the LV logo and comes with a little key as well.
Ok so it is time for me to officially share my FAVORITE and most stunning replica Louis Vuitton bag purchase this month. As you all may already know I previously shared that I kinda went all out on LV bags this month and I have saved the best for last in terms of reviews – what is it? It is the Louis Vuitton Babylone PM in Mahina leather. I have always been a fan of the Mahina leather but last time I tried to purchase a Selene replica (totally love that model too) but the leather was way too overly plastic-y and the bag was totally off, and left me feeling like a compete faker carrying it. So surely enough that bag hardly saw any light of day and I dropped it off to a thrift store about 2 years ago, and that was the end of that.
Ever since then I have always thought that Mahina leather was something replica sellers would never perfect and I would simply be stuck dropping money on an authentic one from a Louis Vuitton boutique. The Babylone PM costs a pretty penny at the LV store coming in at $4,100.00 USD. Back when I was totally into buying authentics I would usually do a bag two times a year – one for my birthday and one for Christmas. With prices like this you can totally understand why! Anyways when I first saw the Babylone PM on Counterlux I was like OMG I have to have it. But then memories of the Selene crept back to me and I realized maybe this bag is simply too good to be true – even though the pictures on the site showcased the depth of the leather pretty well. After emailing back and forth with the site’s customer service I decided to take the plunge and order this model (unfortunately DD did not have this one in their catalog which is where I got my other LV bags this month from). Why do I love the Mahina leather series so much? Well I think it is so sophisticated, dare I say even more so than the canvas series because the LV logo is not as prominent and so much more subtle!
The bag took about two weeks to arrive to my apartment, and once I opened up the parcel I was in total disbelief and beyond happy in how good replicas have become! I mean if you could see and feel the leather of this bag in person you would be in awe as well. I have taken some photos of the bag and done my best to try and showcase the quality below! As far as replica Louis Vuitton bags, and replica bags in general go this bag is a 10/10 when you take into consideration everything including the hardware, leather etc. These are the kind of replica bags that get returned to the boutiques and dupe sales associates! Take a look at my pics (although note my camera went weird causing different looking shades in some pics) and let me know what you think in the comments
Hello guys! I just wanted to give you guys a few quick tips about buying replica handbags from the LV brand … possibly one of the most coveted brands! So I spoke with an insider in the replica industry after looking hard for the inside info to see what exactly goes on in the minds of these factories producing these handbags. It was very much an investigative search for answers for my fellow shoppers and I … Anyways here are several key facts I have learned about the LV replica handbag industry. 1. MYTH: There are no 1:1 LV replica handbags. Folks I have some good news. The myth that there are no factories which currently produce 1:1 LV handbags is false . This is the idea that every fake or replica Louis Vuitton purse you purchase will be off in some way or another. Sometimes you may get lucky and purchase a purse which is very close to the real thing but it is often said that is nothing more than luck! Well I used to believe this myth but now after shopping for replica LV’s for many years I know it is false! So basically when you are shopping for LV handbags just make sure to keep in mind you will never get one which is EXACTLY like the authentic unless you go for what they call the “counter” quality standard. These are not your usuall $200 replicas but are usually in the range of $350; I think they are worth it though since they get the smaller details that really irritate perfectionists (like myself) right! So if any store or seller states their handbag is a 100% mirror quality or whatever the new phrase is, make sure it is a “counter” quality standard darlings.
Now the one on the right is a very good replica compared to the authentic on the left! Unfortunately not all LV replicas are as good. You can read more about my comparison on the fake vs real bag by clicking here!
2. Replica LV’s can oxidize! One of the biggest problems with buying a replica LV is that the handles or straps of the handbag are so light and often do not darken like the authentics. This can clearly indicate a fake handbag to the trained eye but many manufacturers now have perfected a method which allows them to create handbags which do oxidize! So whether you are buying real or fake, make sure to pay attention to the straps! They are very important and could be a big give away!
3. Threading, threading, threading! Pay attention to this one guys, as many handbags have horrible, horrible, horrible threading!! Real Louis Vuitton will come with clean and consistent stitches. Yellow thread is used in real Louis Vuitton products. Counterfeit Louis Vuitton stitching is often uneven, crooked or insecure at the ends. I find this often to be the easiest way to identify a fake and a big give away!
Overall purchasing a replica LV handbag is a stringent process as you must pay attention to key details to make sure it pulls off the look of the original.
